It can be confirmed that Kevin Bacon (City on a Hill) and Farrah Mackenzie (United States of America) have signed on for parts in Sam Esmail‘s Netflix feature Leave the World Behind. Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, Mahershala Ali, and Myha’la Herrold are among the previously revealed cast members.
The film is based on Rumaan Alam‘s novel about a family vacation on Long Island that is disrupted by two strangers who inform them about a mysterious blackout. As the threat becomes increasingly real, both families must figure out how to best prepare for the impending disaster, all while coping with their own role in this disintegrating society.
