The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is being rebooted for Hulu by 20th Century Studios.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was a 2003 fantasy film produced by 20th Century Fox and based on the Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill self-titled comic book series. Set in an alternate Victorian Age world, it revolves around a team of famous modern fantasy, science fiction, and adventure characters, including Dorian Gray, Captain Nemo, and Tom Sawyer, as they embarked on a highly classified mission.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comics made its first appearance in 1999. Stephen Norrington helmed the first film adaptation starring Sean Connery, and it was rumored that his horrible experience on set was the driving force behind his decision to step down from acting. The screenplay was written by James Dale Robinson, and the cast features Naseeruddin Shah, Tony Curran, Peta Wilson, Shane West, Stuart Townsend, Jason Flemyng, and Richard Roxburgh.
