Universal Pictures has announced that Kung Fu Panda 4 will debut on March 8, 2024.

The unnamed DreamWorks Animation movie will be replaced with the most recent chop-socky flick from the Furious Five and Po movie franchise. The Kung Fu Panda film series, which is based on traditional martial arts and is set in ancient China, chronicles the epic story of wide-eyed Po, whose passion for kung fu is rivaled only by his ravenous hunger.
The 2008 first chapter of the Academy Award-nominated film, which stars Jack Black as the endearing animal Po, the Chinese panda, became DreamWorks’ highest-grossing original animated picture.
A trilogy that has grossed more than $1.8 billion at international box offices was started by the first Kung Fu Panda film. Due to its devoted following, the franchise has grown to include video games, an Emmy Award-winning television series, global theme parks, and cross-category consumer products.
Included in this is Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, the third TV installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise, which originated from the animated feature film of the same name, which was followed by sequels on the big screen in 2011 and 2016.
Along with art director Ellen Jin, executive producers Peter Hastings and Shaunt Nigoghossian, voice actors Black, Rita Ora, and James Hong supported the Netflix animated series on Po’s most recent martial arts combat adventure.
