Universal’s Jurassic World Dominion kicked off its early international rollout today and is getting off the ground in Korea with $6 million. This marked the fourth successful opening day in the market’s history, only after Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Avengers: Endgame, and the local title Along With The Gods 2, and the highest opening day since the outbreak began.
Dominion will have its world premiere this weekend in 15 different countries across the world. Joining Korea are majors in Mexico, Brazil, and Italy. The film starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard is aiming for an opening weekend of $45 million or more.
It’s none other than Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Omar Sy, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, Justice Smith, and BD Wong leading Jurassic World Dominion. The reunion of original Jurassic Park actors Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Campbell Scott in the upcoming installment is also widely anticipated.
New characters, portrayed by Mamoudou Athie, Dichen Lachman, DeWanda Wise, Scott Haze, and Isabella Sermon, are also brought in in the third installment.
Colin Trevorrow returns to the director’s chair. He’s also co-writer of the film’s script alongside Emily Carmichael, based on a plot by Derek Conolly and Trevorrow from the original two Jurassic World films. Steven Spielberg, Trevorrow, and Alexandra Derbyshire serve as executive producers.
