In Saint X, Hulu’s eight-part series from writer Leila Gerstein and director Dee Rees, Josh Bonzie (The Politician) will play the lead opposite Victoria Pedretti.
Saint X is a psychological drama based on Alexis Schaitkin‘s novel that investigates and upends the girl-gone-missing genre through numerous timeframes and viewpoints. It’s a show about how a young woman’s mysterious murder on a beautiful Caribbean vacation has a horrific ripple effect through her family, leading to her surviving sister’s risky search for the truth.
Bonzie will portray Clive ‘Gogo’ Richardson, a timid and awkward but warm-hearted 20-year-old who we first encounter as a shy and clumsy but warm-hearted 20-year-old and later as a hardened, transformed man.
Gerstein (The Handmaid’s Tale) authored and will executive produce the film, which will be directed and executive produced by Dee Rees (Mudbound). Stephen Williams will also executive produce alongside David Levine and Zack Hayden for Anonymous Content, Aubrey Graham a.k.a. Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, and Jason Shrier for Dreamcrew Entertainment, Alexis Schaitkin, and Steve Pearlman for Dreamcrew Entertainment, Alexis Schaitkin, and Steve Pearlman for Dreamcrew Entertainment.
