Today, Joker: Folie à Deux‘s first day of filming officially began, and Todd Phillips has already shared a still of Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as Arthur Fleck! Look it up!

The follow-up will debut on October 4, 2024.
Since Warner Brothers’ first announcement of Joker: Folie à Deux, Lady Gaga has been linked to the role of Harley Quinn. In the sequel, which is rumored to be a musical, Gaga will star opposite Joaquin Phoenix, according to an official teaser.

Joker followed Arthur Fleck, played by Joaquin Phoenix, as he changed into the Clown Prince of Crime. It now appears that Harleen Quinzel, played by Lady Gaga, will follow him into insanity in the sequel.
It’s likely that Harleen Quinzel will begin as the Joker’s psychiatrist, as she has in prior renditions, considering the original movie left off with Arthur Fleck in Arkham State Hospital. The sequel’s plot is being kept a secret, but a sizable portion is anticipated to take place in Arkham.
For Folie à Deux, Todd Phillips, who directed the original Joker film, will take the helm, working from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Silver. For an October 2024 release, production is anticipated to start in December.
Brendan Gleeson, Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey are also included in the cast of Folie à Deux.
There are presently 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital versions of the first Joker movie available.
