A step closer to being a reality is the Joker sequel!

Hildur Gunadóttir, an Oscar-winning composer, will provide the music for Joker: Folie à Deux.
According to reports, Hildur Gunadóttir has agreed to write the music for Joker: Folie á Deux. The first Joker movie, released in 2019 and brought in $1.074 billion at the global box office, earned Gunadóttir an Academy Award for her efforts.

Joker accompanied Arthur Fleck, played by Joaquin Phoenix, as he changed into the Clown Prince of Crime, and it now appears that Harleen Quinzel will follow him into insanity in Folie à Deux, with Lady Gaga portraying the renowned DC Comics figure. For his portrayal of The Joker, Phoenix won an Oscar.
Given that the original movie picked off with Arthur Fleck in Arkham State Hospital, it seems likely that Harleen Quinzel will start out as the Joker’s psychiatrist, as she has in previous iterations. Although the sequel’s plot is being kept a secret, a large amount is expected to take place in Arkham.
Todd Phillips, who helmed the first Joker movie, will take the reins for Folie à Deux, working from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver. A release in October 2024 is currently in production.
The Folie à Deux cast also includes Harry Lawtey, Jacob Lofland, Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, and Brendan Gleeson. The first Joker movie is currently available in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital formats.
