The Joker, played by Joaquin Phoenix, is back in action.

Joaquin Phoenix may be seen filming sequences in the streets of Los Angeles in recent internet images and videos from the set of the upcoming Warner Bros. film Joker: Folie à Deux. In the video, Phoenix is totally converted into the titular DC Comics villain, replete with makeup and clothing.
Todd Phillips is once more in charge of directing Folie à Deux, the follow-up to 2019’s Joker, which brought in more than $1 billion at the global box office. Joaquin Phoenix is repeating the role of Arthur Fleck, the unsuccessful comic who later became the Clown Prince of Crime, for which he won an Oscar Award.
Photos and videos from the set show Joaquin Phoenix‘s comeback as the Joker. The 48-year-old actor is shown donning his spooky makeup from the last scene of the first Joker movie while fully becoming Arthur Fleck. For the filming, Los Angeles has been converted into Gotham City, and every element has been meticulously planned to revive the world of The Joker.
Joker accompanied Arthur Fleck, played by Joaquin Phoenix when he changed into the Clown Prince of Crime, and it now appears that Harleen Quinzel will follow him into lunacy in Folie à Deux, with Lady Gaga portraying the DC Comics villain. For his portrayal of The Joker, Phoenix won an Oscar.
It’s probable that Harleen Quinzel will begin as the Joker’s psychiatrist, as she has in prior renditions, considering the original movie left up with Arthur Fleck in Arkham State Hospital. The sequel’s plot is being kept a secret, but a sizable portion is anticipated to take place in Arkham.
Joker: Folie à Deux is being directed by Todd Phillips from a screenplay that he and Scott Silver, who also contributed to the original, co-wrote. Work is now underway for an October 2024 release.
Brendan Gleeson, Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey are also included in the cast of Folie à Deux.
There are presently 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital versions of the first Joker movie available.
