
According to sources, the House of Gucci star and award-winning musician is currently in talks to join Joaquin Phoenix in the ‘Joker’ sequel as Harley Quinn.
It has been known that a Todd Phillips-directed ‘Joker’ sequel is getting underway. Last week, Phillips finally confirmed that another sequel is fired up and teased its working title, ‘Folie à deux’. It is speculated that the sequel will feature a new Harley Quinn based on the definition of “folie à deux”, particularly after early rumors disclosed the same thing. Lady Gaga is in talks to take on this universe’s version of Harley Quinn in the Joker sequel alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
Before Todd Phillips’ A Star Is Born earned Lady Gaga an Oscar nomination, she had made her first foray into the acting industry in American Horror Story: Hotel. The first Joker movie drew inspiration from Martin Scorsese titles such as Taxi Driver and King of Comedy. According to the rumor, the Joker sequel would use Lady Gaga’s singing abilities and be musical. It is rumored that the Joker sequel would make use of Lady Gaga’s vocal talents and be musical.
Lady Gaga would also become the second actress to portray Harley Quinn in a live-action film, after Margot Robbie’s portrayal of the fan-favorite character with animated origins in Suicide Squad, and Birds of Prey.
