
John Cena says that he is still keen on a Peacemaker and Black Adam DCEU crossover movie with Dwayne Johnson. Peacemaker (Cena), whose real name is Christopher Smith, was first introduced in The Suicide Squad of James Gunn, is going to have his possess HBO Max spinoff series this month. The series is executive produced, written, and mostly directed by James Gunn; addtionally, it will continue Peacemaker‘s combat to get peace at any price, with initial trailers signaling the movie will be as bloody and murderous as The Suicide Squad.
With Johnson’s Black Adam a highly expected 2022 summertime release, last year Cena expressed his wants to witness Peacemaker and Black Adam fight against each other. Cena made jokes about an “unavoidable” combat between the two actors, because both of them have now played in the Fast & Furious franchise and are now a part of the DC Extended Universe. As Black Adam is one of the strongest beings in the DC universe, Johnson is likely excited to see the character fight against other super-powered beings, already showing his wants to combat both Superman and Shang-Chi.
Cena, in a new interview with ComicBook.com, restates his wants for a crossover between Peacemaker and Black Adam. The actor makes a joke that two characters in a movie poster would be slightly a sight to see. Nevertheless, Cena doesn’t explain any more on what the crossover would entail, being short on purpose in his answer. See his full comment as belows:
"That's one heck of a movie poster, Peacemaker and Black Adam. I'll leave it at that."

Based on the two actors’ WWE history and apparently parallel career paths, a combat between Cena and Johnson’s DC characters, in some ways, could be a vast movie moment for fans. However, while Black Adam is one of the strongest beings in the DC universe, a confrontation between him and Peacemaker, who is just an ordinary guy, seems like it would be completely unfair. It is engaging when at this time Cena doesn’t typically mention a fight between the two characters in his comments, and he could definitely welcome a Black Adam/Peacemaker team-up of sorts.
Although it is certain to see an epic fight between Peacemaker and Black Adam in some form, Johnson hasn’t yet reacted to Cena’s comments or shown any interest in such a matter. Examining the two DC characters’ huge power imbalance, nevertheless, a face-off within the Fast & Furious franchise would really create a lot more feelings, as the two guys would have equal power. Unluckily, Johnson has claimed that he doesn’t intend to ever go back to the Fast franchise. Currently, fans could see Cena in Peacemaker as his first solo trip later this month; additionally, Black Adam‘s release later this year will give viewers a better concept of what a crossover could really look like when it happens between the two anti-heroes.
