Joaquin Phoenix will earn a fortune for his comeback in the forthcoming Joker sequel.
After years of speculation, director Todd Phillips revealed a photo of Joaquin Phoenix reading the screenplay for Joker: Folie à deux. Phoenix brought home his first Academy Award with the 2019 film Joker, and despite never having signed a multi-film deal, he is anticipated to return for the sequel, which is supposedly going to be a musical.
According to a recent rumor, Joaquin Phoenix is getting very close to signing a big deal to reprise his role as the Joker. Also being considered for the role of Harley Quinn is Lady Gaga. After earning $4.5 million on his debut as the Joker, Joaquin Phoenix will gross $20 million.
Tom Hardy would receive $20 million for the next film in the Venom franchise, while Dwayne Johnson would take home $22.5 million for his role in Black Adam. Jason Momoa would receive $15 million for his role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. After the enormous success of Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise earned $100 million, putting him at the top of the list of celebrities with the most money.
