Tim Burton‘s new live-action Addams Family series has got its first footage of Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams on Wednesday. The 28-second teaser hit the web on Monday, the opening day of Geeked Week on Netflix.
As well as an appearance by Thing, the trailer gives us our first look at Ortega in his role as the stern-faced title character. You may see it down below.
Ortega portrays Wednesday Addams throughout her years at Nevermore Academy in the coming-of-age comedy written by Smallville writers Al Gough and Miles Millar and directed by Burton. It is regarded as a sleuthing, supernaturally tinged mystery. In the series, Wednesday struggles to manage her burgeoning psychic gift, stop a terrible killing spree that has devastated the surrounding village, and uncover the mystical mystery that plagued her parents 25 years ago, all while navigating her new and very complicated relationships at Nevermore.
The series’ cast members feature Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Christina Ricci, Gwendoline Christie, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Percy Hynes White, Georgie Farmer, Naomi Ogawa, Joy Sunday, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Moosa Mostafa.
Wednesday is executive produced by Burton, Gough, and Millar, who are also in charge of show-running. Kayla Alpert, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman for 1.21, Kevin Miserocchi, Jonathan Glickman for Glickmania, and Gail Berman also serve as executive producers. The studio is MGM Television.
