Jason Momoa has recently shared a sweet post on Instagram in celebration of The Batman’s release, a movie starring his stepdaughter Zoë Kravitz. Momoa had his debut in DCEU teased in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and properly joined the cinematic universe playing the titular character Aquaman (2018). He is slated to reprise this role in Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom as the commander of the seas. The installment is set to arrive in theaters later this year, in which Momoa got together with his ensemble cast including Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Now is Kravitz’s turn to make her debut in DCEU as an original femme-fatale, or better known as Catwoman. She is going to be alongside Robert Pattinson as he plays Bruce Wayne, or Batman. The story will be set on Batman’s second year being Gotham’s Caped Crusader. Confirmed to last 2 hours and 55 minutes, the next Batman installment will bring a fresh breeze to much familiar characters, while at the same time telling an origin story of Catwoman. Matt Reeves, the director, recently unveiled that this movie does not happen in the DCEU but in its universe instead. This separates it from Momoa’s Aquaman and Ben Affleck’s Batman.

Many of Momoa’s followers are upset about the recent news of the separation between him and Kravitz’s mother, Lisa Bonet. However, it seems that there is still much love in this stepfather and stepdaughter relationship. On his Instagram, Momoa posted the recently dropped The Batman’s poster featuring Kravitz and her costar Pattinson, alongside with Colin Farrell as Penguin and Paul Dano as Riddler. The caption of the post expressed how proud and excited Momoa is about her stepdaughter’s upcoming work. “so proud. can’t wait. March 4th love u zozo.” Momoa used “zozo”, a sweet nickname for her, while Kravitz commented “i love youuuuuuuuuu”. Fans are getting excited about the two’s lovely interactions. That Kravitz and Pattison will take on classic characters in The Batman has boosted fans’ excitement and anticipation for the movie, which is expected to be ranked among the greatest premieres of 2022. Halle Berry, the actress who once played Catwoman, also expressed her enthusiasm as Kravitz takes on the amazing role, believing the young actress will do a “wonderful” job. This isn’t the first share of Momoa about his pride in Kravitz’s talents. He did share on Instagram the trailer of The Batman, including some clips of Kravitz’s Catwoman in action.

It is absolutely wholesome to see such sweet actions like Momoa’s, and it’s quite clear that his sentiments amp up the audience’s excitement about what The Batman has to offer. As the two movies are in separate universes, an Aquaman – Catwoman crossover is not much likely, but it would certainly be incredible to see them together on the big screen. But for now, fans don’t have to wait much long as it’s only a month till The Batman’s theatrical premiere.
