The Avatar franchise has a promising future.

The worldwide box office receipts for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water have now surpassed $1 billion.
During its twelfth day in theaters, Avatar: The Way of Water earned $1 billion worldwide as it continued to rule both the North American and foreign markets. According to reports, the film has earned over $300 million domestically and $700 million overseas.
With a $2.923 billion worldwide box office haul, the original Avatar film continues to hold the record. The Marvel Studios film Avengers: Endgame briefly deposed the film from first place on the all-time box office lists before a re-release restored it.

Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, and Kate Winslet are among the cast members of The Way of Water, which James Cameron co-wrote the screenplay with Josh Friedman.
