With the promise that even if viewers have already watched the original movie, this new one is still worth viewing, director James Cameron has unveiled a new video to promote the impending 25th Anniversary release of the legendary movie Titanic.

The James Cameron classic will be remastered and presented in theaters on February 10, 2023, in 3D, 4K HDR, and at a new, faster frame rate. The precise duration of the movie’s theatrical run after release is unknown.

Titanic, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, is about the iconic RMS Titanic’s sinking and focused on the two as they fall in love despite having different social classes. Bill Paxton, Kathy Bates, Frances Fisher, Gloria Stuart, Bernard Hill, Jonathan Hyde, Victor Garber, and Billy Zane are also featured in the movie.

When it was initially released in 1997, Titanic immediately shot to fame, receiving acclaim from both reviewers and viewers. The movie set a record for being the first to gross $1 billion at the box office and held the title of the highest-grossing movie of all time until James Cameron’s Avatar beat it in 2009.

Titanic tied 1950’s All About Eve for the most nominations with 14, and it went on to win 11 of them, including Best Picture and Best Director. It shared the record for the most Oscars won by a single movie with Ben-Hur from 1959.
