
A new image from the upcoming film Indiana Jones 5 has been revealed, marking the return of Harrison Ford as the title character, an archaeologist.
As of February of this year, work on Indiana Jones 5 has officially wrapped up. Lucasfilm has dropped a new image from the film, giving fans their first official glimpse at the fifth film in the Indiana Jones franchise starring Harrison Ford. Harrison Ford will be back in action to reprise his character of Indiana Jones for the first time since 2018’s The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was widely considered to be the franchise’s worst entry.

Harrison Ford has said that the fifth film would witness brand new developments in the adventurer’s life and relationships in addition to resolving a portion of his past. However, the full plot information for the film is being shrouded in secrecy at this time. The movie will be Lucasfilm’s first installment in the franchise under the Disney umbrella.
John Williams is slated to compose the soundtrack for Indiana Jones 5, having already contributed to the previous four installments. James Mangold, director of Logan, replaced Steven Spielberg, who previously helmed the series’ first four installments, as the series’ fifth installment’s director.
The release date for Indiana Jones 5 is set for June 30, 2023.
