Without a question, one of the most eagerly anticipated shows right now is House of the Dragon Season 2. But what can viewers expect from the popular HBO series’ second season? It appears that there may not be any flashbacks. Recently, Milly Alcock said that she will not be coming back in the role of young Rhaenyra Targaryen.
In the first five episodes of the first season of House of the Dragon, Milly Alcock portrayed Rhaenyra Targaryen. By the sixth episode, Emma D’Arcy, who played the character as an adult, had taken her place. Nonetheless, supporters have been anticipating that Alcock will return to the series in a flashback scene in Season 2.
So, is there a chance that Season 2 of House of the Dragon will feature a young Rhaenyra? As soon as she realized that her involvement with the Game of Thrones prequel was gone, Milly Alcock made that clear.
It’s disappointing that Milly Alcock won’t return for House of the Dragon‘s second season. That doesn’t mean she isn’t busy, though. Alcock just made an appearance in the High Flying Birds music video for the song “Easy Now” by Noel Gallagher. This summer, she will also perform on a West End stage in The Crucible at the Gielgud Theatre.
But what can we anticipate from Season 2 of House of the Dragon? One of the more gruesome incidents from Fire and Blood will be translated into the series, which has already been announced. Blood and Cheese is one of the most crucial elements of the tale, so even if fans fear the thought of witnessing it in action, it is something to look forward to in the show.
Although a specific air date for House of the Dragon Season 2 has not yet been announced, it is not likely to happen in the latter part of the year. Fans will have to wait until 2024 to witness the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war.
