The second episode of House of the Dragon received higher ratings than the pilot.
The prequel to “Game of Thrones,” “House of the Dragon,” seems to be receiving a rave review from audiences. The premiere of the series was the most successful ever for HBO with its second season confirmed to be renewed.

It is quite rare, but the second episode of House of the Dragon, which aired on HBO and was streamed on HBO Max last night, attracted even more views than the pilot did. The second episode attracted 10.2 million viewers, a 2% increase from the previous week.
House of the Dragon seems to be continuing the success of its predecessor, Game of Thrones as HBO’s most successful brand ever. HBO is currently working on several ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-offs, the most notable of which is a sequel series that will center on Jon Snow. The first season of House of the Dragon will wrap up with eight more episodes.
Along with George R. R. Martin, Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan J. Condal are in charge of executive producing and co-running ‘House of the Dragon’ series. The series’ all-star cast features Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans, Paddy Considine, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, and Sonoya Mizuno.
House of the Dragon will debut its new episodes on both HBO and HBO Max every Sunday at 9 ET.
