House of the Dragon, an HBO Max offshoot of the Game of Thrones series, has just begun its first season, but internet whispers and conjecture are already afoot in response to the news that a second season has been ordered. Following a casting rumor that Elizabeth Olsen had been chosen for Season 2 last week, the internet went viral.
The WandaVision star is reportedly in discussions for a potential part in Season 2 of the show, as first reported by Giant Freakin Robot. In a further report, the frequently trustworthy Daniel Richtman claims that Henry Cavill, who plays Superman, is also being considered for the second season in addition to Elizabeth Olsen. Their casting’s specifics have not yet been made public.
Although nothing has been formally announced as of yet, it’s important to note that the British actor has been linked to both a DCEU comeback and an MCU project. Although we don’t know how that will turn out for him, it appears that Cavill will soon have more than one property under his control.
Following the success of The Witcher, Cavill has obviously already shown that he has what it takes in the fantasy genre; thus, he would be an excellent choice for House of the Dragon. However, Olsen once auditioned for the part of Daenerys Targaryen long before she was cast as Wanda Maximoff, and it’s safe to assume that she’s more than prepared to join the franchise.
HBO Max currently has House of the Dragon streaming.
