Finally, the third episode of House of the Dragon is here, and it doesn’t waste any time getting right to the action. The War of the Stepstones is undeniably currently in full force, and Daemon Targaryen is smack dab in the center of it. Although “politicking” takes up the majority of Second of His Name, we also get to witness Daemon’s violence as he battles the Triarchy!

Two years have passed since King Viserys I Targaryen married Alicent Hightower, according to House of the Dragon Episode 3. Since then, Alicent has given birth to Aegon II Targaryen, a son. As she discovers that she is expected to get married and have children of her own while her half-brother could be selected as the next heir, Rhaenyra Targaryen has grown estranged from her father and erstwhile closest friend.
The majority of the episode is devoted to Prince Aegon’s birthday festivities. That indicates that while Rhaenyra was courting, Otto Hightower and other members of the Small Council worked to establish the kid as the king’s successor. Daemon and Corlys Velaryon continue to fight the Triarchy and Craghas Drahar, also known as Crabfeeder, on the Stepstones.
At this moment, Vaemond Velaryon, Corlys’ brother, sends Viserys a message requesting assistance in the conflict. Viserys initially objects, but he ultimately agrees to send 10 ships to aid Daemon and Corlys in their struggle. The enraged Daemon then leaves to submit to Crabfeeder, but the action is only a show as the army launches a full-scale assault.
Despite not being on his dragon, Daemon’s savagery is still very much present in this scene. However, House of the Dragon Episode 3 omits the most horrific event, which takes place when he follows Crabfeeder into a cave. Instead, we witness the violent aftermath as Daemon tore the man apart.
King of the Narrow Sea is the name of Episode 4 of House of the Dragon. On Sunday, September 11, 2022, the new episode will make its HBO debut.
