Although the events of House of the Dragon Episode 7 have left fans in shock, it appears like things will get much more interesting the following week. The latest House of the Dragon Episode 8 teaser shows that the Hightowers are getting ready to attack Rhaenyra Targaryen and that the Greens and Blacks are preparing to fight it out.
Otto Hightower is seated on the Iron Throne when House of the Dragon Episode 8 starts, according to the trailer that was released immediately following this week’s episode. Rhaenyra reveals that the Hightowers will deliver their first strike as we watch, which is as frightening for viewers as this sight is.
King Viserys I Targaryen could be too unwell to attend the Iron Thrones, even if the teaser doesn’t depict this. Given that Otto is once again the Hand, this is undoubtedly a chance for the Greens. Rhaenyra, though, isn’t giving up that quickly.
The Lord of the Tides, which is also the name of the Lord of Driftmark, is an interesting title for the episode. This definitely implies that Corlys Velaryon will also be stepping up for the Blacks, and we are eagerly awaiting what will transpire in Episode 8 of House of the Dragon.
When Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen decided to be married in order to fortify their alliance, the Blacks already enjoyed a distinct advantage in Driftmark. Daemon bribes Laenor’s lover Ser Qarl to assassinate Laenor Velaryon in order to get him out of the way. While the two of them depart Driftmark, Qarl burns a body that resembles Laenor rather than murdering the King consort.
