What occurred to Daemon’s Wife Lady Rhea Royce in House of the Dragon Episode 5?

From Fire and Blood, House of the Dragon has been modifying specific details, and Episode 5 is no exception. We finally get to know Lady Rhea Royce, Daemon Targaryen’s first wife, in We Light the Way. She also brings about sadness as we eventually find out what happened to the alleged Bronze Bitch.
In the first scene of House of the Dragon Episode 5, Lady Rhea Royce is out deer hunting in the Vale. She decides to go on the hunt alone despite Lord Gerold Royce, her cousin, offering to go with her.
The advent of Daemon Targaryen, who remains silent, interrupts Rhea’s quest. She mocks him for not being chosen as the heir to the Iron Throne and is not happy to have him again. Rhea discovers that her husband intends to murder her and makes an effort to protect herself while she wonders what Daemon planned to do with Rhaenyra Targaryen. But he makes her horse rear up, and she falls.
Rhea continued to berate Daemon as he left while she was hurt. But it soon becomes clear that he has brought a rock to crack her head open.

Finding out that Daemon had truly killed his wife is fascinating. Rhea Royce actually did fall off her horse and fracture her head while out hawking in Fire and Blood. She lasted for nine days before finally succumbing to her wounds, although she didn’t pass away right away.
A completely opposite approach is used in House of the Dragon when Daemon Targaryen intentionally works to have his wife pass away so he can have another. In light of this, additional significant modifications to the series are anticipated in the near future.
HBO Max is now offering the fifth episode of House of the Dragon. The Princess and The Queen, Episode 6 of House of the Dragon, will debut on September 25, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
