Hotel Transylvania: Transformania Trailer – Amazon Prime Video Release Is Set

Sony Pictures Animation has released the Hotel Transylvania: Transformania trailer, the fourth and final movie of this animated franchise. In this latest installment, Johnny’s wish to fit in with the rest accidentally turns Drac and his legendary monster fellows into humans.

The movie was originally set to be released in 2021, however, due to the current pandemic, Sony has decided to call off its theatrical release plans. Last August, the movie was acquired by Amazon Studios and it is now set for an exclusive Amazon Prime Video debut on January 14, 2022.

The voice casts of this newest Hotel Transylvania movie include Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Jim Gaffigan, Kathryn Hahn, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Molly Shannon, Brian Hull, Fran Drescher, David Spade, Brad Abrell and Asher Blinkoff.

Unlike the three prequels, in this final movie, Dracula will not be voiced by Adam Sandler, but Brian Hull instead. Hull first took the role in the short film Monster Pets, released recently.

The movie’s synopsis says the return of Drac and his friends in Hotel Transylvania: Transformia is “like you’ve never seen them before.” The movie is guaranteed to take you on “an all-new adventure” with Drac on “his most terrifying task yet.” According to the synopsis, Van Helsing’s invention, the ‘Monsterification Ray,’ has gone out of control, turning Drac and his monster friends into humans and Johnny into a monster! In their ill-matched bodies, Drac, without his powers and Johnny, enjoying a monster’s life, must work together and travel the globe in search for a cure before it’s too late or they make the other nuts. With the assistance of Mavis and hilariously huma Drac Pack, they rush to find a way to get their bodies back “before their transformations become permanent.”

Jennifer Klushka and Derek Drymon will be the directors of this final Hotel Transylvania installment. The screenplay of the movie is penned by Amos Vernon, Nunzio Randazzo and franchise creator Genndy Tartakovsky, who steered the first three movies. Gomez Tartakovsky and Michelle Murdocca will be the executive producers and Alice Dewey Goldston is a producer.
