What once looked to be a huge pipe dream may soon become a reality as Warner Bros. Discovery is apparently working on Man of Steel 2, in which Henry Cavill would return to his role as Superman. There has been a lot of buzz in recent weeks about the British actor making a victorious comeback to the DC Extended Universe with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Black Adam movie.

Even if there have already been a number of leaks on social media, it seems sense that some fans are still holding back on their expectations. However, it appears that WB Discovery’s long-term strategy for the DCEU has been revealed, and Cavill’s permanent comeback as the adored superhero may soon be here.
The new WB Discovery leadership, headed by CEO David Zaslav, has “an ardent desire” to bring Cavill back for his long-overdue Man of Steel sequel, according to a recent revelation from reporters. The project’s contents are presently being kept under wraps, however, the site does mention that the production firm is looking for authors.
The wisest course of action is to wait for WB Discovery’s announcement even if nothing has been formally confirmed yet, despite the fact that THR has traditionally been a reliable source of inside information. It will be obvious that David Zaslav and the DCEU are dedicated to making the DCEU the entertainment powerhouse it was always intended to be if Man of Steel 2 does actually go through. The horizon is intriguing.
On Friday, October 21st, DC’s Black Adam will be released in theaters.
