The British actor Henry Cavill has been the focus of several rumors and conjectures over the past few weeks, and if the most recent speculations are to be believed, Cavill will reappear as Superman in the DC Extended Universe.
Cavill had been strongly linked to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the past. According to some rumors, he will even attend during the Marvel Studios presentation at the D23 Expo in 2022. Obviously, that wasn’t the case, and it simply increased rumors about his alleged comeback to the DC Extended Universe.

It appears that Cavill has committed to a number of projects, and reporter Grace Randolph claims that in addition to Cavill‘s alleged participation in Black Adam, Warner Bros. According to rumors, Discovery will have the actor return for The Flash. It was made clear by Randolph that plans still call for Michael Keaton’s Batman and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl to appear in the movie, so it would be intriguing to see how Cavill’s Man of Steel would fit in.
This latest tidbit follows recent speculation that The Flash, Aquaman, and The Lost Kingdom are all being “retooled” to make room for a Superman cameo. It’s obviously still a bit early to celebrate, but if Cavill’s DCEU homecoming is genuinely happening this time, then that’s great news for fans who have been itching to see him back as Clark Kent.
The fact that David Zaslav, the head of WB Discovery, is so adamant about bringing the property back under control, is also resounding evidence of that.
To date, June 23, 2023, has been set aside for the debut of The Flash.
