The official Hellraiser trailer for Hulu’s upcoming adaptation of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic, which stars Jamie Clayton as the new Pinhead, has been released. The movie is scheduled to premiere on October 7.

The film gives us our first look at the reappearance of the classic puzzle box, which is being used by a wealthy man by deceiving his victims into figuring out the riddle on their own. It also draws attention to the deadly Cenobites’ reappearance as they continue to wreak havoc on individuals looking to face their fears.
David Bruckner (The Ritual, The Nighthouse) is in charge of directing the most recent Hellraiser film, which was adapted from the story idea by David S. Goyer by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski for the screen. Along with Goran Visnjic and Hiam Abbass, the ensemble cast also includes Odessa A’zion, Jamie Clayton, Adam Faison, and Drew Starkey. Brandon Flynn, Aoife Hinds, Jason Liles, Yinka Olorunnife, Selina Lo, Zachary Hing, and Kit Clarke are also featured in the movie.
The Hellbound Heart, a short horror story by Clive Barker, served as the inspiration for the Hellraiser series. The first movie, which was first released in 1987, initially presented the tale of an adulterous wife who tries to help her deceased boyfriend escape from hell. The antagonist of the series, Pinhead, is in charge of the Cenobites, a race of sadistic demons that an old puzzle box can unleash. It was then followed by nine additional sequels as a result of its cult following.
The impending movie isn’t the only project currently in development; HBO is also creating a series version of Hellraiser, with David Gordon Green slated to helm several episodes and Clive Barker serving as executive producer.
