
Sophie Okonedo, who was nominated Oscar and won Tony Awards, alongside Matthias Schweighöfer, Jing Lusi, and Paul Ready has joined the cast of the international thriller Heart of Stone, which also stars Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, and Alia Bhatt. The film is being produced by Netflix and Skydance and will be released on Netflix and Skydance.
The film is directed by Tom Harper from a screenplay written by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder. Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and David Ellison of Skydance are co-producers, as are Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn of Mockingbird and Gadot and Jaron Varsano of Pilot Wave. Executive producers feature Rucka, Harper, and Patty Whitcher.
The specifics of the plot are being kept concealed. Netflix has made the project a top priority since it won the competitive auction in January 2021. Skydance had packaged the property and put it up for sale, with a number of interested parties bidding for the rights to use it.
His most recent roles are 20th Century Fox’s Death on the Nile and Flacks Season 2. Schweighöfer has established himself as a fan favorite for his roles in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead and the spin-off based on his character Army of Thieves. Lusi has recently collaborated with Matthew Vaughn on his Apple TV+ espionage thriller, Argylle, and will also take on a role in the forthcoming season of Pennyworth on HBO Max. The Terror and Half Bad are two of Ready’s most recent projects.
