The announcement comes in the midst of the second season’s broadcast, which has proven to be a rating driver for the network. The series has won Emmys as well as drawn the undivided attention of the internet.
The second season of Euphoria has been incredibly overwhelming in terms of ratings. The Season 2 debut episode was the most-watched HBO series episode ever on the streaming channel HBO Max. Since its debut, the series has proven controversial. Sam Levinson developed, wrote, directed, and executive produced the series. Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Nika King, Sydney Sweeney, Eric Dane, Storm Reid, Angus Cloud, Algee Smith, Barbie Ferreira, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow co-star in the series with Zendaya. Levinson, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Ashley Levinson, Zendaya, Daphna Levin, Will Greenfield, Ron Leshem, and Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein serve as executive producers. The film Euphoria is based on the Israeli television series of the same name.
Season 2 debuted on January 9th. HBO will premier new episodes every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET. The Season 2 finale of Euphoria will air on February 27, with a Season 3 launch date to be revealed later.
