A scary new poster featuring Pedro Pascal as Joelin the middle of a post-apocalyptic background together with Bella Ramsey as Ellie has been released as HBO Max’s release of The Last of Us series continues to be hyped up by the show’s marketing team.
With the frightening tagline “When you’re lost in the darkness, search for the light,” the new poster for The Last of Us from HBO Max previews the post-apocalyptic environment that Joel and Ellie will travel through.
The Last of Us‘s debut poster for the PlayStation 3 version of the game on which the series is based looks eerily identical to that of the game. The phrase was also taken directly from the corresponding video game.
The story of The Last of Us centers on Joel, a smuggler who must accompany Ellie across a post-apocalyptic America infested with sick people and human hunters. The cast will also include Keivon Woodard as Sam and Lamar Johnson as Henry.
In The Last of Us, Gabriel Luna is also expected to take on a new role as Tommy, Joel’s younger brother, and a former soldier. Ashley Johnson, Nick Offerman, and Troy Baker all have unspecified roles alongside Luna.
HBO Max will premiere The Last of Us on January 15, 2023.
