After the long-awaited Game of Thrones prequel’s debut, HBO has revealed the House of the Dragon opening credits as the second episode of the fantasy drama premiered.

The theme music used for the opening sequence of House of the Dragon will be recognizable to viewers since it was the same tune that played during all eight seasons of Game of Thrones.
Inspired by George R. R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the House of the Dragon TV show is set two centuries before the events of “Game of Thrones,” and revolves around the narrative of House Targaryen.
Cast members feature Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Rhys Ifans. Bethany Antonia, Milly Alcock, Phoebe Campbell, Ryan Corr, Emily Carey, Harry Collett, David Horovitch, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jefferson Hall, Wil Johnson, Gavin Spokes, Graham McTavish, John Macmillan, Ewan Mitchell, Matthew Needham, Theo Nate, Bill Paterson, Phia Saban, Savannah Steyn are also on board.

House of the Dragon has already been picked up for a second season by HBO, after the premiering of the series.
House of the Dragon will hit HBO and HBO Max on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
