It comes on the heels of a pilot order for the series from Steve Yockey of The Flight Attendant, Jeremy Carver of Doom Patrol, Berlanti Productions, and Warner Bros. Television.

The eight-part series is a ghost narrative that delves into loss, sorrow, and death through the eyes of Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland, two deceased British adolescents, and Crystal Palace, their very alive friend. Thus, it has a strong resemblance to a classic detective series – but darker and on acid.

George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri portray Dead Boy Detectives Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland, respectively, while Kassius Nelson (Last Night in Soho) plays Crystal Palace.

In addition, ‘Dead Boy Detectives’ cast also includes Briana Cuoco (The Flight Attendant) as Jenny the Butcher, Yuyu Kitamura (The Expatriates) as Niko, Ruth Connell (Supernatural) as the Night Nurse, and Jenn Lyon (Claws) as Esther.

Yockey is the showrunner and penned the pilot episode. He co-executive produces with Carver, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter. Lee Toland Krieger is in charge of the pilot’s direction.
