The Season 2 cast of the Paramount+ original series Halo, which is based on the massively famous Xbox video game franchise, now includes Joseph Morgan from The Originals and Cristina Rodlo from No One Gets Out Alive. The second season’s filming had already started in Iceland when the news was made on Wednesday. Later this year, more filming will take place in Budapest, Hungary.

Fiona O’Shaughnessy (Laera) and Tylan Bailey (Kessler), who appeared briefly in season 1, will join Morgan and Rodlo as new series regulars for season 2.
Morgan joins the cast as James Ackerson, a tough intelligence operator who has spent his career rising through the ranks of the United Nations Security Council’s clandestine Office of Naval Intelligence. Talia Perez, a corporal with a UNSC Marine Corps communications squad who specializes in languages, is known as Rodlo. She is a relatively recent recruit who has not yet been in actual combat.
Laera (O’Shaughnessy) is Soren’s confidante, spouse, and business associate. The offspring of Soren and Laera, Bailey Kessler, has enjoyed an unusually calm upbringing on the Rubble.

The Brave New World director and executive producer David Wiener is in charge of the television series, which is set in the same world as the original Xbox “Halo” game, which launched in 2001. Halo the series blends intricately developed personal tales with action, adventure, and a brilliantly conceived vision of the future to dramatize an epic war between mankind and an extraterrestrial force known as the Covenant in the 26th century.
This season’s lead actors and producers are Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey and Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief, Spartan-117. Bokeem Woodbine, Danny Sapani, Natasha Culzac, Yerin Ha, Olive Gray, Shabana Azmi, Bentley Kalu, Charlie Murphy, Kate Kennedy, and Jen Taylor as Cortana are among the other cast members who will be returning.
Showtime is producing Halo in collaboration with 343 Industries and Amblin Television. Otto Bathurst and Toby Leslie from One Big Picture work alongside Kiki Wolfkill, Frank O’Connor, and Bonnie Ross from 343 Industries as executive producers.
