The breakthrough star of Suicide Squad, Daniela Melchior, is confirmed to take on a small role in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.
However, as revealed by filmmaker James Gunn late last year, the actress would not play the role of Moondragon, contrary to what was rumored online.
The highly-anticipated threequel, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Sylvester Stallone, Karen Gillan, Elizabeth Debicki, and Will Poulter, just finished filming.
Very little is known about the plot of the superhero film, but previous installments have seen the half-human, half-alien Peter Quill, nicknamed Star-Lord (Pratt), and his gang of intergalactic outlaws defending their universe from different dangers. Vol. 3 will mark the last installment wrapping up Gunn’s Guardians film series.
Production on the Kevin Feige-produced Marvel film began in November of 2021. Executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Nikolas Korda, while co-producers are David J. Grant and Simon Hatt.
Melchior‘s career continues to take off. Following her performance as Ratcatcher in The Suicide Squad, she will next be seen in the forthcoming films Fast X, and Assassin Club, co-starring Henry Golding, and Liam Neeson.
