Maria Bakalova will feature in Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 with prior credits include Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm and The Bubble.

The Bulgarian actress, who garnered an Oscar mention for her supporting part in Borat: The Next Moviefilm, is due to appear in the third episode of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy in an as-yet-undisclosed capacity. Maria Bakalova’s role in the impending MCU movie was kept under wraps until now, with filming wrapping a month ago.
The third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, led by Chris Pratt‘s Star-Lord, will be the final film to contain the original cast of characters. It will also include Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, a gold-skinned superhuman. The birth of Warlock was hinted at in a post-credits sequence at the conclusion of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, when it was implied that he would be used against the Guardians, however, whether he would remain antagonistic or not remains to be seen.
It’s unclear if Maria Bakalova‘s character in the future film will be a friend or adversary to the Guardians. She is not, however, the only MCU newbie in the picture whose role has yet to be revealed. Director James Gunn recently hinted at the presence of an unnamed actor in the picture, which is not thought to be Bakalova. Gunn appears to have a few surprises in store for his last Guardians film.
Maria Bakalova will soon be seen in A24’s Bodies Bodies Bodies, which has gotten favorable early reviews, in addition to her prior roles in the Borat sequel and Netflix film The Bubble.
In addition to Maria Bakalova, Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Sylvester Stallone, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Will Poulter, and Chukwudi Iwuji feature in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
On May 5, the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise will be released in cinemas.
