Many DCU fans were eager to see what the newly appointed DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran had in store for the franchise’s future. They haven’t made the specifics public up to this point, but they’re anticipated to do so within the next two months.

Green Lantern, one of the beloved DC characters that fans hope to see in the franchise’s future, was not a major figure in its previous DCEU incarnation, despite the fact that an HBO Max series is presently in the works. Will the character eventually play a role in the upcoming DC Universe?
A fan recently commented on Gunn‘s Thanksgiving tweet, which featured an image of some DC heroes enjoying the holiday.
A short while later, Gunn responded to the fan, appearing to refute their claim that Green Lantern is not included in their DCU plans. Happy Thanksgiving! Probably not a good scoop, he wrote in response.
Although he didn’t explicitly deny it, many fans assume that Gunn was hinting in his response that they are considering the legendary DC hero to be a significant player in the DCU. This is especially true given that he didn’t deny it outright.
Since many fans have been clamoring for Green Lantern to finally appear on screen as part of the official DCU, it is an exciting prospect even though we do not yet know the specifics of their plans for the hero’s potential appearances in the DCU. After all, DC Comics has always been built around the Green Lantern character.
After all, the Green Lantern figure has long served as the centerpiece of DC Comics. We can only wait to see what Gunn and Safran have in store for the long-term plan of the new DCU franchise at this time.
