The next Godzilla vs. Kong sequel is now formally in production, and a new image raises the possibility that the movie’s working title has been determined.

The working title of Origins may be seen over director Adam Wingard‘s name in a tweet that appears to display a clipboard from the movie set. While there are no actual surprises or significant details to be learned from that, it does appear to imply that the movie will examine the possible ancestry of both Godzilla and Kong.
The sequel will have no direct competition when it hits theaters. However, it will be released in the same month as Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse and A Quiet Place: Day One, two other well-known films.
The next fifth episode of the well-liked series will once again be directed by Adam Wingard. Dan Stevens, who is most renowned for his work in Legion, will return for the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel after collaborating on the 2014 horror film The Guest.
Although further details about the project are presently being kept under wraps, early reports from the previous year suggested that it will be called Son of Kong. The project will once again be manufactured by Eric McLeod.
The 2021 film, which Wingard directed, had a script written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein. Among the cast members were Rebecca Hall, Millie Bobby Brown, Brian Tyree Henry, Alexander Skarsgrd, and others. The movie debuted simultaneously in cinemas and on HBO Max, yet despite this, it was nevertheless able to gross more than $460 million worldwide.
