
A brand-new House of the Dragon featurette from HBO has been released in preparation for the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series. The August 21 premiere date has been set for the program, which centers on the Targaryen family’s rule over Westeros.

Along with the Targaryens, House Velaryon and House Hightower were once the most influential families in Westeros. This emphasizes their prominence and significance.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon tells the tale of the Targaryens, the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria. The award-winning television adaptation of Game of Thrones, which aired its final episode nearly two years ago, is set 300 years before the events of this novel.
Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, and Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen will serve as the series’ main characters in the ten-episode run. Along with Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Milly Alcock, Matthew Needham, Sonoya Mizuno, Graham McTavish, Eve Best, Ryan Corr, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Gavin Spokes, Wil Johnson, Emily Carey, John Macmillan, Savannah Steyn, Bill Patterson, and Theo Nate, it will also include David Horovitch, Bill Patterson, Matthew Needham, and Gavin Spokes.
Miguel Sapochnik, George R.R. Martin, and Ryan Condal are the creators of House of the Dragon, and Miguel and Ryan will also act as the showrunners. Martin, Condal, Vince Gerardis, Sapochnik, and Sara Lee Hess are the executive producers.
