
A recently well-known genre star, actor Frank Grillo will be starring in Year 2 – the new horror-action film about werewolves. The latest project that Grillo joined is Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and was headlined in the highly notable Boss Level movie. Steven C. Miller, who has set a remarkable action film resume that comprises flicks such as Escape Plan 2: Hades with the appearance of Sylvester Stallone and Dave Bautista, is directing Year 2. In the meantime, the movie is being written by Matthew Kennedy, who is famous for his film Inheritance in 2020 with the starring of Lily Collins and Simon Pegg. After Grillo’s successful appearances in numerous franchises of The Purge and Marvel Studios’ Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, he has starred in Year 2. Werewolf creatures for Year 2 are designed and created by Amalgamated Dynamics’ Alec Gillis, who has impressive effects work gaining Oscar nominations. Recently, Gillis joined Godzilla vs. Kong and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Now, they are working on pre-production and creature designing; furthermore, the movie is planned to start its production in May 2022 in Puerto Rico.

In Year 2, Grillo’s character is a scientist Wesley Marshall, who is running against time one year after a Supermoon has activated a latent gene in human beings that diverts people into werewolves as they penetrate moonlight. Now, the Supermoon has come back; therefore, Marshall must discover a remedy. He is confused in choosing between saving the world or saving his family when werewolves attack the house of his sister-in-law and niece.
