Season 3 of For All Mankind, the acclaimed alternate-history show that imagines what might happen if the Soviet Union reached the Moon before the United States, has received a new trailer for Apple TV+. The next season, which will premiere next month, will transport us to an alternate 1990s in which the space race’s next aim is the red planet Mars.
The core narrative of Season 3 is introduced in the new trailer, in which the Soviet Union and the United States begin a fresh competition to see who will be the first to land people on Mars.
This time, however, both countries will face a new foe: multibillionaire Dev Ayesa (Edi Gathegi), who believes that exploring space should be a private activity. The teaser emphasizes the United States’ desire to set the tone by landing on Mars first and seizing control of the Cold War. The Soviets, on the other hand, want to maintain their standing as the top space explorers.

The Season 3 teaser for For All Mankind also illustrates how the various teams of astronauts would deal with the harsh circumstances on Mars. The crews will confront dust storms and a paucity of supplies as they attempt to set up camp on Mars, putting everyone in danger.
Furthermore, the coming of Mars has sparked speculation about the possibilities of discovering alien life and conquering planets other than Earth. So it appears that the series will continue to investigate how a single historical event might impact the destiny of humanity’s existence.
Matt Wolpert, Ben Nedivi, and Ronald D. Moore developed For All Mankind. Wolpert and Nedivi also serve as showrunners, while the three also act as executive producers. Tall Ship Productions’ Maril Davis, David Weddle, Bradley Thompson, and Nicole Beattie are among the executive producers. Sony Pictures Television is the studio behind For All Mankind.
