The initial batch of DC Studios projects have been formally unveiled by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

Ten film and television projects that are now in pre-production at DC Studios were revealed by James Gunn and Peter Safran during a presentation at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California. The two only alluded to the release dates of the subsequent Superman film and Robert Pattinson’s Batman sequel; the latter is situated outside of the DC Universe and is not included in the main slate, but a list of the other films can be found below. Prior to the commencement date, the titles are subject to change.
- CREATURE COMMANDOS (animated series)
- WALLER (live-action series)
- SUPERMAN: LEGACY (live-action film)
- LANTERNS (live-action series)
- THE AUTHORITY (live-action film)
- PARADISE LOST (live-action series)
- THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD (live-action film)
- BOOSTER GOLD (live-action series)
- SUPERGIRL: WOMAN OF TOMORROW (live-action film)
- SWAMP THING (live-action film)
According to the two heads of DC Studios, “Gods and Monsters” is the title of the first chapter of the DC Universe. The DCU creative team consists of Drew Goddard, Jeremy Slater, Christina Hodson, Christal Henry, and Tom King. The title should be familiar to DC Comics fans because it served as the subtitle for a Sam Liu-directed animated Justice League film.
According to James Gunn and Peter Safran, their plan for the DC Universe entails fixed screenplays, leeway, and a common plotline for all cinema, television, animation, and video game ventures. The two clarified that their eight-year plan is not a complete reboot because the DC Universe might bring back components from earlier DC eras.
At Warner Bros. Discovery, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom are all in various stages of post-production. All four DC Universe films are expected to be released in theaters in 2023. Will those cinematic characters emerge in the new DC Universe? Just Gunn and Safran are aware.
