Fate of the Furious veteran Scott Eastwood is confirmed to return to join the cast of the upcoming installment, Fast X, in the Fast & Furious film franchise. He will be working with Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson, amongst others in the cast. As previously disclosed, the cast includes Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Charlize Theron, Alan Ritchson, Michael Rooker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Daniela Melchior, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and Cardi B.
Universal Pictures is continuing the globe-trotting action franchise that has so far raked in over $6 billion globally with Fast X. The plot’s specifics are shrouded in secrecy for the time being. Eastwood will resume his role as Little Nobody, the right-hand man of Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody, who helped Dominic Toretto (Diesel) hunt down cyberterrorist Cipher (Theron) in Fate of the Furious, released in 2017. No word yet on whether Russell will return to the franchise.
Following Justin Lin‘s departure from the project only days into production, Louis Leterrier is at the helm of the impending film from the screenplay written by Lin and Dan Mazeau. Producing credits include Diesel, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Neal Moritz, and Samantha Vincent.
