There’s a new name in the F4 rumor mill.
The impending Fantastic Four MCU relaunch is one of the hottest castings in Hollywood right now. While there have been speculations about a number of names being considered to play the First Family for the past few months, Marvel Studios has not yet made any clear statements about them.

As of late, another notable name has entered the fray. According to reporter Jeff Sneider of The Hot Mic podcast, he “heard” rumors that Ryan Gosling is being considered for a Fantastic Four role, though he didn’t specify which character.
This is not the first time that Ryan Gosling has been linked to a Marvel rumor, as there have also been rumors floating around the internet that he is vying to play Sentry in Thunderbolts, though we haven’t received any confirmations about it either.
The actor previously pitched himself to Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige to perhaps portray Ghost Rider in the franchise, indicating his desire to join the MCU. It is unmistakably a clue that he might eventually join the MCU.
Whether or not this is just a rumor, it’s intriguing that Gosling’s name keeps coming up in connection with MCU projects. This suggests that he may be on their list of actors they really want to work with, and it’s hard to blame them given how talented and well-regarded he is as an actor.
Will Gosling play Reed Richards or Johnny Storm if he does end up working on the Fantastic Four? He might play The Thing, who knows? He could even take on the role of the major adversary. In any case, it is intriguing to learn that the MCU would employ the Oscar-nominated actor.
