The Wizarding World of Warner Bros. is getting into trouble on the movie side.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore debuted to a lackluster $43 million domestically during Easter weekend, after a $20.1 million opening day on Friday, which included $6 million in Thursday previews. It is doing better abroad, where it raked in an additional $71 million, bringing its worldwide revenue to $193 million (it arrived last weekend in select markets).
The $200 million film, which is the third entry in J.K. Rowling‘s Harry Potter spinoff franchise, lags well behind its predecessors in terms of box office receipts. Franchises are becoming increasingly crucial to Hollywood studios, but it’s unclear if this one will be able to continue.
