Regardless of whether or not further allegations come to light, Ezra Miller‘s future in the DCEU is on the bubble after the release of The Flash.

Ezra Miller, who plays Barry Allen on The Flash, has been in the spotlight since late March. The reason, sadly, has little to do with his acting ability. Miller, who has been a part of the DCEU as Barry Allen ever since his small appearance in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016 and also engaged in Suicide Squad, both cuts of Justice League, and the HBO Max original series Peacemaker, has been arrested twice in Hawaii and has been subject to a myriad of other legal issues, including accusations of grooming and harassment.
There is no question that David Zaslav, the newly-appointed CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, is not happy about it. It is a nightmare for Zaslav to have Ezra Miller, the main star of The Flash, continue to be mired in such public controversies, given that he has ambitious plans for the future of DC, particularly with films in the DCEU to truly stand toe-to-toe with Marvel Studios. Zaslav’s plans call for films in the DCEU to truly stand toe-to-toe with Marvel Studios.
Sources suggest that Warner Bros. Discovery is unlikely to retain Ezra Miller as the lead of The Flash sequels and any DCEU films, even if there are no other scandals involving the actor. This suggests that there are intentions to move on from the actor and maybe take his position them.
The Flash is slated to hit cinemas on June 23, 2023.
