Encanto is directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush (Zootopia) with its screenplay written by Bush and co-director Charise Castro Smith. During the early making of Encanto, the producers took a research trip to Colombia and were greatly inspired. The inspiration also came as they worked with a group of experts brought together during the movie’s production.
Clark Spencer and Yvett Merino are the producers of Encanto. The movie will present brand new compositions by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Moana), including an original song “Colombia, Mi Encanto” with the performance of Carlos Vives, a Latin Grammy winner.
