DC’s Black Adam was introduced to a New York audience after its debut on Wednesday night at AMC Empire 25 in Manhattan.

The formal review embargo for Black Adam will be removed the next week, although the embargo on early comments on social media was lifted following the premiere.
The iconic DC antihero Black Adam, played by Dwayne Johnson, had been imprisoned for 5,000 years prior to getting released into the current era.
Black Adam is the 11th film in the DC Extended Universe, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Orphan) (DCEU). Aldis Hodge plays Hawkman, Noah Centineo plays Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi plays Isis, Marwan Kenzari plays Sabbac, Quintessa Swindell plays Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan plays Doctor Fate.
On October 21, Black Adam will be shown in theaters.
Here is a selection of social media responses from the NYC premiere before the official reviews are out the following week.
