With a glimpse of the Justice League characters, a new teaser for Dwayne Johnson‘s DC film Black Adam reveals its connections to the larger DCEU.

There has been some ambiguity regarding the current state of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), but the most recent Black Adam teaser appears to confirm that this movie takes place in the same continuity as Zack Snyder’s earlier DC films and gives a glimpse at some of the Justice League’s prominent members.
The teaser offers a fresh look at Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam and the Justice Society heroes in addition to a look back at the characters who have already appeared in the DCEU.
Dwayne Johnson tweeted the most recent Black Adam teaser, which includes Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller introducing the legendary antihero.
The scenes depicting Justice League heroes, as well as a quick glimpse of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, are not from Black Adam, but from previous DCEU films. The inference, though, is clear that Black Adam coexists with the heroes and villains we already know.

Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill’s faces are not visible, which may add fuel to rumors about the actors’ futures in the DC Extended Universe. Batman and Superman are only represented by a batarang and the logo on Superman’s chest.
Other scenes in the teaser include Black Adam electrocuting a man with a single touch, Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate showing up out of nowhere, and a violent confrontation between Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam and Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman.
Black Adam has its theatrical debut on October 21, 2022.
