The first trailer for Dwayne Johnson‘s Black Adam debuted today, giving fans their first look at the impending Warner Bros. and DC picture.
The plot explores what happened when Black Adam is released from his earthly grave roughly 5,000 years after the Egyptian gods bestowed awesome powers on him and imprisoned him. He is then prepared to “unleash his unique form of justice” on the modern world. This is Johnson’s first appearance in a live-action superhero film.
Director Jaume Collet-Serra, writers Adam Sztykiel, Sohrab Noshirvani, and Rory Haines, as well as producers Dany Garcia, Beau Flynn, and Hiram Garcia, collaborated on the picture. Doctor Fate is played by Pierce Brosnan, Atom Smasher is played by Noah Centineo, Hawkman is played by Aldis Hodge, and Cyclone is played by Quintessa Swindell.
Johnson commented on being in development on Black Adam for a decade at ComicCon 2022, adding, “This truly is a dream of mine.”
On October 21, Black Adam will be premiered in cinemas.
