
Dwayne Johnson released a video from his forthcoming DC Extended Universe flick Black Adam‘s worldwide trailer premiere event.
Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, and Dwayne Johnson are finally bringing the origin tale of Black Adam to life in his big-screen debut after many years in the making. The character, who Johnson had been linked to play for quite some time, was initially scheduled to star alongside Shazam (Zachary Levi) in a film, but the plans were changed to have him star in his own solo film to tell the story of his origins.
Dwayne Johnson posted a video to his official Instagram account from the Black Adam worldwide trailer premiere event, in which he is shown driving a golf cart around the Warner Bros. lot and admiring his action figure from McFarlane Toys’ DC Multiverse collection:
With the addition of Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, as well as some of the upcoming films in the DC Extended Universe, it’s safe to say that the franchise as many fans have known it is experiencing some major changes. For a series that has had its ups and downs with reviewers and certain audiences over the years, it appears like some intriguing new updates are about to breathe fresh life into it, and it looks like it will be well worth the wait.
