A DC Comics figure broke bad news just days after Henry Cavill said that he would no longer be playing Superman in future films. However, in light of earlier rumors, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson‘s departure from the role of Black Adam is no longer all that shocking.

Johnson sent his comments to Twitter and mentioned that he had already spoken with James Gunn, an executive at DC Studios. He stated:
Gunn‘s tweet in response read:
The announcement made today is the most recent in a string of choices that have infuriated DC fans. First, Gal Gadot‘s comeback in Wonder Woman 3 was canceled by DC Studios’ new CEOs, Gunn and Peter Safran. Additionally, they recently opted to scrap Cavill’s Superman comeback. Since Cavill already quit The Witcher to devote more time to Superman, the latter is disheartening.
When Cavill revealed the information, supporters chanted #FireJamesGunn at Warner Bros.
However, they are making crucial decisions “based upon what we believe is ideal for the tale” and to create the DC Universe, as Gunn informed fans.
